Why does a person need to be saved?
We must be saved because we are all sinners.
As it is written: None is righteous, no, not one;
- Romans 3:10
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
- Romans 3:23
How can a person be saved?
We must realize that the price of our sin is death.
For the wages of sin is death
- Romans 6:23a
We must be saved by faith in Jesus Christ, God's Son.
Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
- Romans 5:1
Salvation is a gift of God that cannot be earned.
but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
- Romans 6:23b
You can be saved today by trusting Christ by faith.
Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is the Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.
- Romans 10:9-10
It is amazing to think that God loves us so much that He made a way for us to be saved from our sin. God's salvation takes the faith of a child to simply believe what God has promised. We can't earn heaven; it is a gift from the God who made us. Salvation is His plan to be accepted on His terms. Faith leads us to the free gift of God!
