Ladies Night Out:

Calling all ladies to come and join us for Ladies Night Out on Thursday, June 16th at 6:00 p.m.. We will be meeting at GBC at 5:30 p.m. and will be going to Northwoods Restaurant in St. John, Indiana. If you are interested in coming, please sign up on the sign-up sheet on the back table today.

4th of July Parade and Booth Announcements:

If you would like to walk the parade route and help us distribute promotional materials, please sign the sign-up sheet on the back table.

We are going to have a booth at the village festivities after the parade where we were be distributing information. The booth will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.. If you can help to staff the booth, please pick a time on the schedule on the back table.

We will be doing face painting at the booth for an hour or two. If you have artistic ability and would like to help, please sign up.

Pastor is willing to train people to make balloon animals for the 4th of July. If you are interested in learning, please see Pastor.

We are planning to put together gift baskets for the booth to use as promotional materials. We would like to make up four baskets, at a cost of $40.00 each. If you would like to contribute, please mark an envelope "Booth Baskets" and put it in the offering box.

Parking Lot Fund:

We have started a fund to plan to repave our parking lot. The deacons are currently pursuing estimates and we will bring the recommendation to the church at the earliest possible date.

Lawn Mowing Schedule:

Spring has sprung and the grass is growing. If you can help us keep the church lawn looking good, please sign up on the schedule on the table in the back of the sanctuary

Adult Sunday School:

Beginning June 19th, we will be starting a new topic in our Adult Sunday School hour. We will be studying the book of Ephesians. Ephesians is a great study and I encourage you to come and study with us.

Parade & Booth Planning Meeting:

There will be a July 4th parade and booth planning meeting on Tuesday, June 7th at 6:00 p.m.. If you would like to help plan for the float and for the booth at the village festivities following the parade, please come out for this meeting.

The Glenwood Bible Church Website has been completely redone!

Here is a list of new features:

1. All of the pages have been redone to load faster and look cleaner
2. A Proverb of the day script has been added
3. The calendar script has been rewritten
4. A Gallery area has been added to the 'About' section
5. The 'Contact Us' page will now send emails directly to Pastor Searfoss

Gallery Area:

Currently, the Gallery area does not have any photos in it so it is not visible. Photos can be submitted via the church Facebook.

The Gallery area will be updated to show photos as they are submitted.

About the Proverb of the day section:

I have written a script that will display a different Proverb for each day of the month. This Proverb has been chosen from one chapter per day. (eg. Proverbs 1:7 on the first of the month, Proverbs 31:30 on the 31st)

This script will allow you to show all of the Proverbs that have been displayed so far this month. So, on December 31, you will be able to see all 31 Proverbs. This can be accomplished by clicking the 'Previous' and 'Next' buttons. These buttons will ONLY be clickable if it is possibly to navigate in that direction.

The script will automatically show the next day's Proverb at 12:00 AM.

If you miss the Proverb of the day, click '<- Previous' to see the Proverb from the day before. This can be done until you reach the first Proverb of the month.

About the new calendar script:

The old calendar would show dates that had events on them as links. This calendar will show every day as a link.

In order to see if there is an event on a certain day, hover your mouse over that day. Text will appear under the calendar showing events on that day.

If you are viewing events on a date in the past, the events will have a line through them

The current date will automatically show up in bold text on the calendar

There is now a link above the calendar to a bigger version of the month's calendar

Currently, sermon recordings are not available. This is being worked on, and should be made available soon.
